Swimming with the Grace Tankini

In my quest to push myself in my sewing journey, and my desperate need for a new swimsuit, I was thrilled to be able to test the new Grace Tankini by Savvy Patterns.  This is their second pattern release, and one that I see myself using time and time again!

As I've said before...I love a pattern with lots of options, and the Grace Tankini is chocked full of them!  And in addition to the regular waist options...the bottoms also have high waist options...even better!  I opted for the Ruched top and skirt, and couldn't love them more!  But I already have plans in the works to try the sport skirt with a ruffle added at the bottom...one of the other testers did that and I thought it was so cute!  For the last few seasons I've had one-piece bathing suits, but I love that these pieces are such that I can create a standalone suit...or create multiple pieces with the same fabric(s) and have my own little swim capsule!  Happy, happy day!

Probably the thing I love most about this pattern is all the extra info it contains...it truly is a teaching pattern, so don't fret if you've never sewn swimwear before.  Audrey includes links to videos about elastic and (optional) bra cup installation and gives info on using powermesh and/or boning in your suit for additional support.  If you are an adventurous beginner, you can definitely tackle this pattern!

This is definitely one of the comfiest bathing suits I've ever owned...and as a mom of 4 littles...I love that I can wear my suit to the pool and not worry about modesty or coverage while playing and chasing them around :)  The Grace Tankini released on 7/3 and is on sale through 7/10 for $7.50 - if you're looking for a great swimsuit pattern to add to your stash...I can't recommend it highly enough!
